This is a day of class focused on search through targets of opportunity. Vent, Enter, Search (VES) at its core should be a fast, easily deployable search technique that is one of the many tools in the toolbox for the modern firefighter. In the modern fire environment a firefighters ability to rescue people from danger through the efficient use of proven practices should be at the forefront of every departments training plan.

This course incorporates classroom discussion on the tactical size-up of fire conditions and what are the realistic and unrealistic conditions that can be occupied by firefighters during search operations. Participants will rotate through skill stations and live smoke evolutions while performing VES operations in realtime scenarios.

Full Firefighting PPE and SCBA required for Live smoke participation.
